A successful $US100m Series E extension for Airwallex

News | Ventures

Airwallex, one of the world’s most powerful payments and banking infrastructure companies, has recently closed a $US100m Series E extension, which takes their total funding to date to more than $US900 million.

We participated in this round alongside other existing investors Square Peg, Salesforce Ventures, Sequoia Capital China, Lone Pine Capital LLC, Hermitage Capital and Tencent and new investors Hostplus and a North American pension fund.

Established in 2015 in Melbourne, Airwallex has continued to see its business grow and reach new heights, with its customer base more than doubling and revenue increasing by 184% YOY. This funding will be used for acquisitions, and we look forward to seeing the team continue their global growth trajectory.
