Code of Conduct
Why do we have a Code of Conduct?
Our Code of Conduct (Code) describes how we work at 1835i. It sets the expected standards of professional behaviour linked to our values. Our Code helps each of us make fair, balanced and ethical decisions in our day-to-day work. It is important to understand our Code in letter and spirit. We apply it to ourselves and those who work alongside us, including contractors. We treat breaches seriously because we want to build an organisation which we can all be proud of.
Code of Conduct guiding principles
We are ethical and professional
We act with integrity
We treat all people with dignity and respect
We manage conflicts of interest
We protect privacy and confidentiality
We comply with the code, the law, and 1835i policies and procedures
We call out unacceptable behaviour and stand up for what is right
Reporting and enforcement
We encourage the reporting of misconduct as soon as possible. Anyone wanting to make a report is encouraged to use 1835i’s whistleblowing service, Your Call.
Your Call is an external, independent provider that provides confidential reporting of misconduct. Reporting to Your Call also enables reports to be made anonymously if the reporter does not want to disclose their identity.
Reports will be treated seriously and where appropriate thoroughly investigated. Where there is evidence that someone may have breached our Code and policies, we will investigate and, where such allegations are substantiated, take appropriate disciplinary action.
We strive to ensure that reporters can raise concerns regarding actual or suspected contraventions of our ethical and legal standards freely and without fear of repercussions.
